Journey Gel Press card trio

Good evening friends Cathy here to share a wonderful Fun Stampers Journey product.. the Journey Gel Press.  I purchased it last month but was a little intimidated to try it, but night before last I went to my craft room and took it out, grabbed all the FSJ products I would need to make some cards, including the Gel Press and commenced to creating....

First you take the gel press out of the package and place on the table leaving the acrylic sheet on the back of the press so it is easier to move around on your table, then you take your cool pool silk and make random little spots of it on the gel press , after which you will take the stenciland I placed the stencil on top of the silk and then added spots of the acrylic paints randomly.after which I used the brayer to roll over the paints and blend them a little bit/

now it the time to pick up the  stencil and layyour whip cream card stock over the stencil image and pick up the paint..(CARD !)

then lay the next pre cut piece of whip crean card stock onto the stencil it self to pick up some paint.. (CARD 2)  and last but not least take the third piece of whip cream card stock and lay it on the gel press again and pick up what is left there ( do not want to waste perfectly good paint.lol)

Chalk Couture~First project!!

Enjoy the Little things

Hello friends.  I hope you are all still enjoying your Christmas day.  Today I got to play with My Chalk Couture!! I have been waiting patiently for a quiet time to do it, and this afternoon I finally had some.  

For this project, I used the Chalk Couture White magnetic round Chalkboard as shown below..

The transfer I used was the "Enjoy The Little Things" and the small Squeegee which I cut into 3 pieces.

You also need a pan of water to soak the transfer in after you use it so the chalk paste does not harden on the transfer in the silk screen wording.. and a permanent marker to mark the backing of the transfer so when you put the transfer back on after using, you put it back on the right side.

I wrote the word "Enjoy" on the back of the transfer backing so I would know which pattern it goes to as well.

I then slowly remove the transfer off the backing and lay it down where I want it on the board, and then smooth it out so there are no bubbles and no space where chalk paste can ooze out.

below are the stirrers I bought off amazon to stir the chalk pastes before use..

Remove the cap and inner protective cap and stir your pastes..they should look like a yogurt consistency..

then you use the squeegee to, sort of paint on the paste..smoothing it out and putting the excess back in the jar... when done...slowly peel off the transfer and put in water pan and clean. when all the paste is off, the transfer, use the lysol wipes to wipe off both sides of the transfer, it helps to activate the adhesive. the set aside sticky side up. to finish drying before putting on backing and returning to sleeve.  Right about now, my camera died and so I put it on the charger and decided to change the color fo pastes I used...I used the Brick red and the Mustard instead of the Aquamarine.

and this is the finished product!!  I embellished it with the flowers I made with the Susans's Garden Dahlia Dies I got for Christmas from my Son and Daughter in law. and the Pan Pastels and Card stock for Fun Stampers Journey

I am also beginning a new journey as a Designer for Chalk Couture.. a NEW company that launched to the public in July of this year and is taking the country by storm.lol  All who see it want to try it and once they do..they are hooked 

at the ease of it..  It is a chalk paste that can be use on a variety of materials, Chalkboards, windows mirrors, wood, material and much more..which is transferred by silk screen transfers which can be used over and over again, depending on size of transfer and materials.
